The Green Lodging Program requires facilities to meet environmentally-friendly guidelines by increasing energy efficiency, water conservation, clean air practices and waste reduction. A lot of time and effort goes into transforming a hotel property into a Green facility, so we need to make sure these hotels get the recognition they deserve. They are taking the necessary steps to better our environment, which is something that we all have to start thinking about.
